Program Rules

    General conditions

  1. If a member of the Klein Crusaders program is NOT already enrolled in the Tradesman Club program, s/he will simultaneously be required to enroll at time of Klein Crusaders registration.
  2. Membership and benefits in the Klein Crusaders Program and the Klein Tools Tradesman Club (now referenced in this document as the "Program") are offered at the discretion of Klein Tools, and Klein Tools has the right to terminate all or some of the Program as well as change the terms and conditions, rules, regulations, policies and procedures ("Program Rules"), benefits, conditions of participation in whole or in part, at any time, with or without notice, even though changes may affect the value of the program points already accumulated.

    a. Klein Tools may, among other things, withdraw, limit, modify or cancel any award. Members, in accumulating reward points, may not rely upon the continued availability of an award or award level, and members may not be able to obtain all offered awards or use awards.
  3. Membership and participation in the Program is subject to any Program Rules that Klein Tools may, at its discretion, adopt from time to time. The terms of the Program Rules control your membership and participation in the Program and no covenants at law or in equity shall be implied or incorporated. Klein Tools has the sole right to interpret and apply the Program Rules. Any failure to follow Program Rules, any abuse of Program privileges, any violation of law, rule or regulation, any conduct detrimental to the interests of Klein Tools, any fraudulent activity or attempted fraudulent activity, or any misrepresentation of any information furnished to Klein Tools by any member, or anyone else acting on the member's behalf, may result in the termination by Klein Tools of such member's membership, the loss or cancellation of accrued points, awards or benefits, or both, or the loss of other Program benefits. Terminated members shall not be eligible to participate in any aspect of the Program, and members whose accounts have been terminated shall not be eligible to enroll with new accounts.
  4. Klein Tools reserves the right to audit any and all Program accounts at any time to ensure compliance with the Program Rules, without notice to the Program member. During the course of an audit or investigation a member's account information may be shared with any third party with whom Klein Tools has contracted to assist in performing such audit or investigation. In the event that an audit reveals discrepancies or possible violations, Klein Tools may delay the processing of award redemption requests, cancel any outstanding award redemptions, withhold statements or suspend the Program account of a member pending completion of the audit. While the account is suspended, the member may not continue to accrue points or redeem awards in the account. Any outstanding award redemptions will be cancelled. Upon completion of the audit, if a discrepancy or violation has been determined by Klein Tools, in addition to any other remedies described herein, points may be removed from the account of the member to remedy such discrepancy or violation with or without notice to the member. Klein Tools may also decide at its discretion to remove the member from other participating Klein Programs such as, but not limited to: Tradesman Club and Klein Loyalty program.
  5. Each member shall be responsible for remaining knowledgeable as to the Program Rules and the amount of points in such member's account. Klein shall attempt to advise active members of various matters of interest through such means as may be appropriate, such as account summaries, emails and its website, but Klein shall have no liability for any failure to do so. Klein will not be responsible for correspondence lost or delayed in the mail. Each member shall be responsible for advising Klein of any change of contact information, and Klein shall have no liability for misdirected mail or any consequences thereof.   6. The accumulation of points and the redemption of awards are subject to specific Program Rules enacted by Klein Tools. Each member is responsible for reading those materials in order to understand such member's rights and responsibilities under the Program. Klein Tools will take every reasonable action (such as website updates, e-mail notifications, account summaries, etc.) to update members on major Program changes, but will have no liability for any failure to do so.
  7. The Klein Crusaders program is maintained for the benefit and participation of individual tool users. Only individuals are eligible for Klein Crusaders membership, and each individual member may maintain only one Klein Crusaders account in the Program. Duplicate Klein Crusader accounts in the Program will be subject to cancellation. Only one member may be enrolled per Program account. Program membership is nontransferable. Only the member named on the account will be entitled access to account information. Account information is Klein Tool's proprietary information and members may access information only for the purpose of obtaining information about their account. No member may delegate or grant access (via power of attorney, contract, or otherwise) to a third party.
  8. Accrued points do not constitute property of the member and are not transferable.
  9. Prohibition of sale or barter

  10. The sale or barter or attempted sale or barter of any points, awards or benefits is expressly prohibited. Any awards or benefits transferred or sold in violation of the Program Rules, in addition to exposing the member to the penalties otherwise associated with violations, may be confiscated or canceled. The use of award points that have been acquired by purchase, barter or other conduct in violation of Program Rules may result in termination of membership, cancellation of accrued awards points.
  11. Account activity

  12. "Account Activity", for purposes of these rules, shall be deemed to occur when a member accrues Points in such member's account in any manner as outlined and set forth in these Rules, or as otherwise approved by Klein Tools.
  13. Points earned during the Klein Crusader's active campaign (usually three months from campaign launch) expire 36 months after the last of the corresponding campaign. After this time, points accrued from the Klein Crusader's program are forfeited.

  16. A maximum of 600 points may be accrued and redeemed by the Klein Crusader. Points may only be accrued when a Klein Crusader's campaign is active. Campaigns will have start and end dates outlined by Klein Tools before each campaign begins.
  17. Klein Tools has the right to withhold award points for user generated activity. This may include content deemed offensive or inappropriate.
  18. Point expiration

  19. Points accrued in a member's account shall remain in the account until it is redeemed for an award or until it expires (see Account Activity: #10), whichever occurs first.
  20. Points accrued shall only be subject to expiration on the last day of the thirty-six (36) months after the completion of that corresponding active Klein Crusader Campaign.
  21. Award redemption

  22. The awards available to be redeemed and the amount of points necessary to redeem each award will be set by Klein Tools and published to the Program member. Klein shall establish the process for award redemption, but redemption shall basically mean the exchange of loyalty points in a member's account for a specified award.
  23. Awards may, at the request of the member, be issued by Klein Tools in the name of the member.
  24. Points earned in two or more different Program member accounts may not be combined to redeem any award.
  25. The award structure is subject to modification, cancellation or limitation at Klein's discretion, with or without notice. The amount of points required to redeem any award may be substantially increased, any award may be withdrawn, and restrictions on any award or its redemption may be imposed at any time.

    a. The accumulation of points does not entitle Program members to any vested rights with respect to any awards or the Program.
  26. Online Social Media and/or Product Review Guidelines

  27. A Klein Crusader is personally responsible for the content that s/he publishes online, whether on a social media site, corresponding website, or other form of user-generated media. Be mindful that what you publish will be public for a long time. Protect your privacy and take care to understand the sites' term of service.
  28. When posting on social media sites, such as (but not limited to) Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc, identify yourself as a Klein Crusader by using the hashtag #kleincrusaders.
  29. Klein Tools has the right to withhold rewards points for content that is inappropriate. Some examples are: ethnic slurs, discriminatory remarks, personal insults, obscenity or other similar conduct.
  30. When posting a review on the campaign product, a program member must identify that s/he received a free product + additional incentives for an honest review of the product. Program users must use his/her best judgement when posting on social sites that have character restrictions. For example: Using the words "Sponsored" and "Promotion" will likely be effective and only use 9 characters..
  31. Participation

  32. Employee of Klein Tools or its affiliates, and the immediate family and household members of all such employees are NOT eligible. Program is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
  33. This program is in no way sponsored by, endorsed by, administered by or associated with Facebook, any other social network, or product review sites.
  34. Publicity

  35. Each participant grants sponsor (Klein Tools) permission to use his/her name, likeness or comments for publicity purposes without payment of additional consideration or, except where prohibited by law.
